I didn't talk about this when it happened. I was too depressed. But in April we had two major snow storms and we ended up with a couple of feet of snow in mid-April. Remember that crocus picture a while back? Totally buried. If you go further back in my blog...you know, to winter, I posted a picture of our buried grill in the snow. It wasn't quite that deep, but it was darn close. Here are some pictures of the last snow storm. This is only about 2 1/2-3 weeks ago. Now it is in the 60s and quite gorgeous outside. The snow is really gone except for some very dark corners here and there.

I'm so sorry! When we had snow near Bruceville at Easter it was like a miracle, but I did not know you were having this kind of snow!
;__; It is very beautiful in a "beautiful in a photograph" kind of way. It seems like it would be a very grey thing to have lived, though.
Same. Love it, but as I didn't have to *experience* it, well, I'll never know will I!
Gorgeous photos, though, and that matters, too!
They ARE pretty photos though!
Gads...fantastic photos. Those kind that you see in magazines here in Texas in August and think "OMG, I want to be THERE!" but I know in reality it's not all that much fun to live through.
I thought it was perfectly charming.

Douglas - bah humbug.
LSM - where is Bruceville? That must be north Texas, b/c I know they got snow up there...surely? :o
Alex - Yes. I did appreciate the beauty, but in mid April one is (well, I am) yearning for green things.
Ellen - well, it is sort of interesting to experience. It does make you appreciate the other kinds of weather.
Shannon - Thank you!
Triana - well, actually, yes, I think I would want to be in these pictures instead of Texas in August. Neither is ideal, but I do better in cold than searing hot.
Bruceville is halfway between Temple and Waco - it was pretty weird.
